He graduated in Arts and Social Sciences, and currently he is a news reporter, web master, photographer, Video editor Fact checker, trainer as well as Community manager working for Burundi News Agency (ABP) with over 5 years of experience. Jean de Dieu is also a Founder, Managing Editor &Fact-Checker at BurungaCheck (www.burungacheck.online). He has excellent technical skills including writing, hypothesizing, data-investigative journalism, fact-checking, persuasion, team building and team work, organizational communication skills. Jean de Dieu is also an active member of African Fact Checkers Alliance (AFCA). He covered the Tony Elumelu Foundation Forum in 2018 as a UBA/TEF Journalist Fellow. Jean de Dieu was selected by United Nations to cover the 5th UN Conference on Least Developed Countries( LDC5) held in Doha, Qatar from 5 to 9 March 2023.
